Barcelona ace Lionel Messi has put the sword to his chances of ever playing for the Catalan's fiercest rivals Real Madrid.
This is in wake of the comments by Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo indicating that it is not impossible for him to wear the Barcelona jersey in the future.
In contrast of loyalties, Messi has ruled out any chances of him leaving the Nou Camp and intends to see out his career at Barcelona. That is despite the World playuer of the year admitting that ‘anything can happen'.
"The truth is that I don't ever see myself in Madrid or at any other club. I'm very happy at Barcelona and if it were up to me I will continue here for many years," the 22-year-old told Sport.
The Argentine's loyalty and gratitude to Barcelona is in fact unsurprising as he is who he is today thanks to the Catalan club, who took him when he was diagnosed with a growth hormone deficiency when he was 11-years-old and covered all his medical expenses.
Barcelona take on Valladolid on Sunday in the La Liga finale and a win will see them crowned champions.
