Les Ferdinand: Destiny in our hands
Les Ferdinand reckons Tottenham Hotspur can decide their own fate in the final two games of the season.
Harry Redknapp's men travel to the Eastlands to take on Manchester City in a crucial fourth-spot decider on Wednesday.
Spurs are currently occupying fourth spot but are only one point ahead of Roberto Mancini's men.
With all the financial bonuses and prestige of playing in Europe's top tier tournament, the two teams will definitely be going all out to secure victory.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, Tottenham coach Les Ferdinand said: "We have got two tough games, but it is in our hands and if we win both, we are in the top four,
"That sounds quite easy, but it is not going to be as easy as that.
"We are usually talking about the top two, and everything else is decided - and we are not normally talking about fourth, but going into the last few games of the season and the league looks very exciting still."
Tottenham will be sweating on the fitness of goalkeeper Huerelho Gomes who sustained a groin injury at the weekend with youngster Ben Alnwick waiting in the wings if the Brazilian stopper fails to recover in time.
Team News
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is sweating on the fitness of centre-half Ledley King and goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes ahead of their crucial Barclays Premier League clash against Manchester City at Eastlands on Wednesday night.
King's long-standing knee problem means he remains a doubt while Gomes has a muscle injury sustained in the win over Bolton at White Hart Lane last weekend.
They are the only worries for the Spurs boss as they take on City in the battle for a Champions League place. Young goalkeeper Ben Alnwick stands by to replace Gomes.
Gareth Barry is set to return for Manchester City.
The England star missed Saturday's victory over former club Aston Villa with a hamstring injury but could be back to bolster the City midfield in their biggest game of the season.
Joleon Lescott (hamstring) has been ruled out for the remainder of the campaign and Stephen Ireland (ankle) will also miss out.
