Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson thinks Cristiano Ronaldo could return to Old Trafford later in his footballing career.
Ferguson is still unhappy with Real Madrid for luring the winger away from Manchester and has hinted that Ronaldo will soon abandon the media circus of the Bernabeu and return to England.
Real are reeling after crashing out of the Champions League at the first knockout stage and Ferguson has taken the chance to take a swipe at Real.
"I don't think Real Madrid is an easy club to play for," the United manager said.
"There is a circus attached to it. There are often loads of fans and an intensive media always filming them.
"You would like to think that one day he will come back, but you never know.
"I don't think he will stay at Real Madrid for life or anything like that.
"There will be other challenges and he is that type of player who welcomes them."
