AC Milan could be set for a timely boost after Alexandre Pato looks set to be fit in time to face Manchester United in the Champions League.
Pato was taken off during Milan's 3-1 win over Atalanta last weekend with a thigh muscle injury. It was first feared that the Brazilian star could be out for a long period of time.
But recent tests showed no real lesions to the muscle and now he could be ready for Wednesday's game at Old Trafford.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Milan coach Leonardo will make a late fitness check on Pato before the team travel to Manchester.
Milan are trailing 3-2 after losing the home defeat from the first leg.
If Pato does not recover in time, then Leonardo could then look to play David Beckham on the right flank.
It will be the first time that Beckham has played at Old Trafford since leaving Manchester United seven years ago.
