Cryuff: Barcelona standards slipping

Football legend Johann Cryuff has criticised players in the Barcelona squad as not being good enough.

Cryuff, currently the coach of Catalunya, has his brows furrowed over Barcelona's recent poor run of matches.

In comments reported by Spanish publication Sport, he said the Catalan giants were carrying "certain players that are not up to standard."

"This season, there have been a few matches in which the champions of everything have not been playing at the level of what they achieved," he continued.

Barcelaon were reduced to 10-men after Zlatan Ibrahimovic was sent off in the match against Almeria over the weekend, but managed to scramble a 2-2 draw courtesy of Lionel Messi.

"The team's reaction when they were reduced to 10 men leads one to be optimistic, but there are certain players that are not up to rub," obserevd Cryuff.

He has urged the players "to take a hard look in the mirror" to see "what they did and what they are doing."

The former star also warned that Real Madrid could be a far more dangerous side after their come from behind 3-2 victrory over Sevilla.
